Purpose

The multi-frequency single-beam echosounder is designed for seabed profiling at depths up to 6 000 meters

Device appearance

Objectives

  1. Depth measurement and absolute sea depth determination at the sounding point, profiling of seabed terrain along the vessel track, and generation of bathymetric maps
  2. Water and seabed backscatter coefficient evaluation
  3. Water column analysis: detection of vertical thermal layers, thermocline boundaries, and mixing zones
  4. Data acquisition, visualization, and archivation
